A fire can start suddenly and spread fast. This fire blanket is designed to help you extinguish smaller fires, for example in the kitchen or near lit candles. It can also be used to reduce the spread of an existing fire. The fire blanket is made of a dense fiberglass material that withstands temperatures up to 500 degrees. Store the blanket centrally and easily accessible in your home. Make sure all family members know where it is kept and how to use it in case of an accident. Thank you for safeguarding your home with Eldstickan's fire blanket! How to extinguish a fire with a fire blanket: Remove the blanket from its holder. Shake out the blanket and gently place it over the fire. Do not throw the blanket over the flames, as this adds more oxygen to the fire. Smooth firmly over the burning area to smother the flames, working from the center outwards. Do not pat or hit the blanket, as this lets in more air. Continue until you are completely certain that the fire has been smothered. Leave the blanket in place over the burned area for 20 minutes. If the fire blanket has been used in a fire, it is spent; it should then be discarded and replaced with a new one.
