Carbon steel mini saucepan, 12 cm
Item no. CA275171130
A mini saucepan in durable carbon steel, which can be described as a cross between a stainless steel and a coated pot. The compact size makes the saucepan excellent for serving. A carbon steel pan should never be left wet or washed in a dishwasher. When cleaning, use a dish brush and hot water and dry the pan with paper towels. Britannia Carbon Steel Britannia Carbon Steel is a series in durable carbon steel suitable for all types of cooking. Carbon steel is a material that has been used for frying and cooking vessels for thousands of years. Just like cast iron, it consists of a mixture of carbon and iron, with the difference that it is more lightweight. Carbon steel pans are tough, durable and at the same time easy to maneuver. The material provides fast and even heat distribution. For this reason, the pans are particularly suitable for cooking that requires high temperatures, such as grilling and searing. The handle is made of stainless steel and provides a comfortable, stable grip. The Britannia Carbon Steel series works on all heat sources, including hobs, induction, ovens and open fires. The vessels come pre-seasoned with flaxseed oil and are ready to use straight from the packaging. However, an extra seasoning is recommended, as the first layer of oil is thin and primarily intended to protect the pan against rust during transport. A carbon steel pan has no coating, but over time develops a fine patina and a natural protection similar to a non-stick surface. The pans generally get better the more you use them. Be careful with maintenance and season them with neutral oil at regular intervals, and they can last for generations. Carbon steel pans are loved today by both professional chefs and conscious home cooks.
