Hoptimist
Hoptimist Flower Bumble
Item no. CA393152266
Flower Bumble is a small bringer of joy with a flower wreath on his head and a happy spirit. He loves spring, colors, and festive days – especially Midsummer with flowers in his hair and long, bright evenings. He loves to hop around and spread sunshine, even when it's raining. Perfect on a shelf, in the window, or as a small gift for the Midsummer party. H 7.5 cm, D 5.9 cm With a strong belief in the power of a smile, Gustav Ehrenreich created his happy Hoptimist movement in the late 1960s. The goal was to create a figure that served as an eternal reminder to stay positive and optimistic. Although the 1960s are often called "the happy 60s," it was a decade marked by unrest. Therefore, Ehrenreich's design was a welcome bringer of joy in an otherwise turbulent time. Bimble and Bumble were the first Hoptimists the designer created: a girl in a dress with smiling eyes and a boy with an attentive gaze and a little stick on his head. Today, these happy Hoptimists are a part of Danish design history and spread joy all over the world.
