Thebe was Gense's first modern stainless steel cutlery series and is inspired by the opulent Egyptian style with clean and elegant lines. Thebe 2024 is adapted to the present. The cutlery is longer and in greater harmony with today – the length of the individual cutlery pieces has increased by approximately 10%, and the material is 91% recycled stainless steel. During the 1940s and 1950s, he was one of the most prominent designers in Sweden. A position that made him an important member of the first generation of proud Scandinavian designers. Folke Arström was also the artistic director at Gense in the early 1940s.
