This gift corresponds to a reduction of CO2e emissions by 1.73 tons. This project aims to reverse the trend of deforestation, replant the region's natural forests, and strengthen ecosystems. The tree planting project spans several provinces in Panama over areas that together correspond to more than 3000 hectares. A total of more than 1.9 million trees have been planted during the project's duration, which not only sequesters carbon dioxide but also binds and secures water, reducing the risk of erosion. The project has so far contributed to a CO2e reduction of approximately 135,100 tons.
