Description

Kiritsuke is a Japanese knife model often described as a hybrid between a vegetable knife and a fish knife. According to tradition, the knife is used by the head chef as a status symbol, as it is considered more difficult to handle than other knife models. It is an agile and versatile knife that can be used for most ingredients – once you have learned to master it, that is.

Global Classic The first Global knives were designed in Japan in 1985, including the iconic chef's knife that looks the same today as it did when it was launched over 40 years ago, which is proof of its truly great design. The knives from the Classic series are made from Global's own steel blend, Cromova 18. The combination of durable steel, a unique design, and an extremely sharp edge caused interest in the kitchen knives to grow rapidly. They first gained a foothold among professional chefs, and home cooks soon followed. Today, Global is an immensely popular knife brand, both in Sweden and internationally.

Everyone with an interest in cooking knows that a sharp knife is a chef's best friend, but what is also important is using the right knife for the right ingredient. Global's Classic series includes a knife for every occasion in the kitchen, from meat cleavers to flexible filleting knives, vegetable choppers, and small paring knives. To give the knives perfect balance in the hand, the handles are filled with sea sand.
